Description
Addendum 4 is a renewal of the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement and the three subsequent addenda. In the the fourth addendum the parties recommit to implement the terms of the Agreement as amended and agree that the implementation of the Agreement shall be reviewed on 31 January 2008. The Agreement shall lapse upon the signing of a formal ceasefire agreement between the Parties.

CESSATION OF HOSTILITIES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF UGANDA AND THE LORD'S RESISTANCE ARMY/MOVEMENT

JUBA, SUDAN

ADDENDUM 4

Preamble:

WHEREAS:

The Government of the Republic of Uganda (GOU) and the Lord's Resistance Army/Movement (LRA/M) (hereinafter referred to as "the

Parties") signed a Cessation of Hostilities Agreement (the Agreement) on the 26th August 2006, under which the Parties agreed to cease all hostile

military and other actions and propaganda aimed at each other, that may undermine the Peace Talks;

The parties have signed three addenda to the Agreement:

Addenda 1, 2 and 3 on 1 st November and 16th December 2006, and 14th April 2007 respectively.

Now therefore the Parties agree as follows:

1. Recommitment of the Parties

This Addendum shall form part of the Agreement, and the Parties hereby recommit themselves to implement the terms of the Agreement

as amended by the three previous addenda.

2. Review of Implementation

a) The implementation of the Agreement shall be reviewed on 31 January 2008.

b) The Agreement shall lapse upon the signing of a formal ceasefire agreement between the Parties.

In witness whereof, the duly authorized rerresentatives of the Parties have signed this Addend at Kampala on the 3rd day of November 2007
