The delegations of the National Government of Colombia and the National Liberation Army (ELN) discussed during the first two weeks of the second cycle of talks, among other topics, pedagogy and communication for peace, the formalization of the creation of the Supporting Countries Group of the Round Table (GPAAC).
The two topics appear on the agenda of 30 March 2016.
The delegations have reached the following agreements:
• Establish a joint pedagogy and communication team for peace (EPECOP), whose general objective is to promote the construction of a culture of peace through building trust and credibility, which will make the work of the Dialogue Table more effective and the agreements reached.
• Within the framework of this agreement, a plan of action, functions, criteria, scope, members and work methodology of the team was defined.
Additionally, an immediate action plan was defined.
• For the GPAAC, initially formed by Germany, Holland, Italy, Sweden and Switzerland, the terms of reference that will guide its development have been defined.
• Likewise, a fund has been established for the talks between the National Government of Colombia and the National Liberation Army, to obtain contributions from international co-operators that can finance, in a transparent and flexible manner, the expenses related to the development of the talks.
